The central idea of this Autumn/Winter collection is creating a hand-produced aesthetic which references architectural and technological imagery, which itself is taken from visual research of the structure and line of circuit boards and buildings. The work is process led by the line work of the imagery and techniques are carefully selected to create the different qualities of geometric and abstract shapes. The combination of hand-stitch and some machine produced techniques gives variation on the lines and angles of the work creating a wide range of textures within the collection. The designs reflect an industrially inspired colour palette which was a response to elements within initial source material. Grey based neutrals set off the details of metallic flashes and pop red within the couching, pin tucks and counted stitching. The accent red and machine teal are used subtly throughout the designs tying the collection together creating striking features with a distinctive futuristic style.
